Mrs. Debbie Martin
|
|
Mrs. Martin previously taught a preschool/kindergarten class in Madison and has now made her way to be apart of our school. She received her B.S. degree in early childhood education with a concentration in psychology in 2004 from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL; which happens to be her home town. In 2005, she moved to Huntsville with her
husband, Todd who is an engineer. Mrs. Martin holds an Alabama Professional Educator Certificate, Type B for early childhood education. She hopes to complete her M.Ed. in early childhood education this fall at Alabama A & M University. She is passionate about teaching preschool-aged children and enjoys what each new day has to offer while being a teacher. Cooking, especially baking, is one of her favorite hobbies. She also dabbles with a variety of craft projects in her spare time.

Mrs. Sree Lakshmi

I am a morning assistant teacher at MLC. I began my teaching in
2005. I was born in the Republic of India and later moved to the
United States to join my family. I am married and have a grown son
named Krishna who is 25 and a student at the University. I am
delighted to be a part of the MLC staff and truly enjoy working with
the children. I share the same principles as the other teachers
which is to provide an environment that facilitates intellectual
development for all students. I was fortunate to have been provided
with a good education from India and spent 3 years at the
University. I am hoping to begin my Montessori Training in January
09. My other interests are: gardening, child development, exercise
and cooking.

Miss Reine Becker

I grew up in the Air Force, traveling to different places in the
U.S. and England. I was born in England where my dad met my mum
while he was stationed overseas. Following a life growing up in the
Air Force, I ventured out to Texas. I attended Southwest Texas State
University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Child
development/Education. A few years later, I traveled out to Denver,
Colorado and obtained a Montessori teacher's certification; in which
I became completely absorbed with the concept of Montessori and
children, of course! I have two Yorkshire terriers, Buck and Penny
and I also enjoy hiking, painting and theatre.
